Beautiful West and Glacier
On the Beautiful West and Glacier tour, we will drive towards Borgarfjordur. The first stop is at Deildartunguhver, a hot spring that provides nearby towns hot water. Our next stop is the beautiful and picturesque waterfalls of Hraunfossar / Barnafossar where you can see the water pour down from under the lava field were you can often see the beautiful blue color. Then we will stop for lunch at Husafell, before going for the drive up on the glacier in a specially modified truck. Langjokull, Iceland’s second-largest glacier. Glaciers are one of the most powerful forces shaping the Icelandic landscape. These vast masses of ice, formed from compressed snow collected over thousands of years, have carved mountains and created deep valleys…
Experience the timelessness and tranquillity of the glacier environment touring the glacier Langjokull. Then we will continue and explore and experience the glacier from the inside. After you return from the glacier adventure we will drive through Hvalfjordur (Whale Fjord). to Reykjavik.
You will have enough time to enjoy and create great memories to take back home on this day tour.
